The armies of Kingdom Hex: part 2

Updated: Sep 15

Kingdom Hex features a total of ten armies, each with ten unique troops, and every troop possesses a special ability. Here's a closer look at five of these armies.

The Woodelves inhabit an autumn-themed biome, characterized by birch trees and fall colors. Designing the Woodelves offered a refreshing change from the other armies. Their troops are quite exotic compared to the two other elvish factions and are among the few that can move more swiftly through forests, making them ideal for early-game scouting.

Demons hail from a scorched and desolate biome. Their color scheme is the darkest in the game so far, with fire and embers providing a stark contrast. Their troops rapidly expand and develop synergies, evolving into an unstoppable force by the late game.

The Darkelves are unique in their use of stealth abilities and tactics. Their strategy relies on remaining unseen, as you cannot hit what you cannot see. Their biome consists of twisted and curling vine forests and dark mountains.

Goblins come from the Badlands, an endless expanse of desiccated and bleak terrain. A Goblin soldier alone is weaker than most, so Goblins rely on brutal gang-up tactics to overwhelm their opponents. They have also mastered the use of poison. Sometimes, as you think you’re defeating the Goblins, they are actually defeating you.

The Fae are one of the most unique armies in Kingdom Hex. Their biome is filled with giant mushrooms and magic mountains. Fae heavily depend on their exotic special abilities and surprise tactics. Their troops can either fly or be made to fly by an Enchantress. This army is highly mobile and poses a constant challenge to their enemies. Plus, they have a unicorn.

Each army offers numerous troops and tactics, with several viable builds. We look forward to seeing the tactics you discover.
